I wouldn't call myself a fan, and I haven't followed his COVID-19 takes. Clay is pretty brash and often obnoxious, but he is one of the only members of the sports media who takes on identity politics in sports and says what he truly thinks. He goes off the rails at times but the landscape is better for having personalities who take on narratives that would otherwise go unchallenged.

There you go with that whole "diversity of opinion" bullshit again.

He's a regular guest on one of the Memphis sports radio shows which always surprises me because Memphis sports radio (and Memphis in general) is quite liberal. He says some really dumb shit but also says some true things no one else will. He was all over Adam Silver for sucking Chinese cock after the Morey comments when most in sports media were way too gentle on him.
I wouldn't consider myself a fan but he has his moments. He's never not interesting.
