    I might have to check out Deadwood. I normally hate period pieces from that long ago, but since it made the finals of this tournament, I might have to take a watch.

    Does it start really slow and take awhile to get into? That’s always the toughest part of starting a new show.

    I don’t think Deadwood starts slow at all. Solid from the gate. But I have a BA in History so extreme confirmation bias.
    It was kind of slow for me until about halfway through the second episode. There's lots to adjust to.
    My brain works differently than most of you guysm. Note - I’m not talking about IQ. Just antiquities.
    Are "cocksucker" and "motherfucker" and "fucking" antiquities?

    I don’t mean bad slow, I just mean it’s not a show that hits the ground running. More of a slow burn as you acclimate to the style, place, dialogue, etc. But I have a BA in History too, so not sure how we settle this.
