Olivia is pretty correct with that first statement in that most places are rural and folks like living in the country versus the cities or “subdivisions” and have to travel great distances for goods or work, many times over 60 miles or more one way. Know many folks in a county some of my land and camp is in that live there and travel over 50-60 miles in all directions for work, healthcare jobs and otherwise. If you see someone walking or biking in the south it’s strictly recreation or broke the fuck down. It ain’t goin to work or liquor store from their abode.
Far as the internet thing, most folks in the south have decent internet through phones or some source.
Oh good fucking gravy- does anyone in NYC understand what a subdivision is? A friend of mine at my last company had a two mile drive to get out of his area. Not everyone has a fruit stand at the end of their block.
