PR stunts work on the weak minded
"Columbia CEO Tim Boyle has cut his salary to $10,000 a year to pay employee salaries"
https://www.kgw.com/mobile/article/news/local/columbia-sportswear-ceo-tim-boyle-cuts-own-salary-to-10k-retail-employees-receive-regular-pay/283-0a10c3ea-20bc-414b-adac-3731e059643cSo this guys salary was about $1,000,000. The article doesn't say anything about his $2,000.000 bonus
With 3500 employees that's a one time payment of $285 a person. That's their regular salary? Let's say he's cutting his bonus too. So a one time payment of $800 a person?
Of course the dumbasses who think Bloomberg could have given everyone $1,000,000 thinks Boyle is a hero and the "have my business". It's great that they are paying their employees. But to bundle that with the spin that the ceo is personally football the bill is a dishonest PR stunt. And of course it wasn't done humbly and quietly, it was done with a big press release. And of course the gullible public eats it up.

It's a commentary on people who eat this shit up. And of course Columbia knows it and leverages it.
People applaud them as a "good Company" when in fact the people are getting played.
It's a PR stunt to manipulate the Karen's of the world. It's dishonest wording and meant to provoke emotion.
You seem to be missing my point.
That's why we're are here. The National is full weak minded easily manipulated dullards
Feel better?
Mrs Bearswin not putting out this week?
Paying the employees is great. To think it has any relationship or is enabled by his salary reduction is absurd. It’s a drop in the bucket and doesn’t move the needle. Pure PR play to minimize the damage. Hence the press release vs just doing it humbly.
