Listen and try and understand. First of all, Biggins said (not me) that one of Petersen's initial challenges will be to develop relationships with blue chippers (i.e., 4 and 5 star recruits) for the 2014 and 2015 class. At boise it wasn't worth his time to focus on the budda bakers, so he wisely didn't do so. I think it was an intelligent use of his time. Focus on the guys he could get, and then develop the talent.CuntWaffle said:Hopefully this will be the last top state recruit who winds up at another school.
Can't wait until Passion blames Petersen for this.
This is an example of where Biggins was correct. Petersen has no relationship with Budda. Budda surely knows who Petersen is - as does everyone in college football. But they haven't developed the kind of personal relationship that is often required to land the top fish.
Now that Petersen is at a school with all the requirements to get top recruits, he can focus on developing those relationships.
Do I blame him for budda? No, as I think that budda has been drawn to the trash in eugene for a while. However, at some point this in-state bleeding has got to stop, and it's Petersen's job to stop it. It's pathetic. -
Biggins was also the schmuck that said it was between UW and UCLA as Oregon had lost its luster to Budda....

Give Peter time, he's used to recruiting truckers. Maybe one of you guys should walk him away from the Kenworth plant in Renton and over to Moobs alma mater.79smoothdawg said:Peterson can't recruit at this level. Proof is in the poohnani

It doesn't mean he's wrong on every issue. Developing relationships is key. I'm sure Petersen and Goncharoff (sp?) will become well-acquainted.MisterEm said:Biggins was also the schmuck that said it was between UW and UCLA as Oregon had lost its luster to Budda....

I don't deal in hypotheticals. I stated facts and your response is pure conjecture.Passion said:

Biggins was that schmuck saying such bologna regarding Budda on media sites 48 hours ago. Si, o no??
Stick to the facts Passion.

Nope, that was Eklund. Either Biggins or Huffman was on their radio show later in the week and Eklund said something like "I've hear Oregon is losing it's luster with recruits, what;s your take on that? Is that what you;ve been hearing too?"MisterEm said:Biggins was also the schmuck that said it was between UW and UCLA as Oregon had lost its luster to Budda....
The response was "No, I'm definitely not seeing that"

Eugene has Kip Kinkel, the Mckenzie River and the Autzen rapist. What recruit wouldn't pass all this up? Not to mention Colt Lyerla will be hanging around for awhile longer.

yea that was Eklund.MisterEm said:Biggins was also the schmuck that said it was between UW and UCLA as Oregon had lost its luster to Budda....
Biggins is pretty connected and seems to avoid putting his foot in his mouth all the time.
unlike, F3, Kim and Eklund.
