WTF does voter registration have to do with getting money into the pockets of Joe Taxpayer for a catastrophic event?

Further - if all Joe Taxpayers are getting a couple thousand checks immediately (which apparently both dickhead political parties can agree upon), why do they have to solve the airline/aerospace/cruise line industry bailout at the same time. Fucking jackwads.

Bificurate the Joe Public checks from the business bailout debate. Holding Joe Taxpayer hostage isn't a good look for either side. Admittedly, tossing Mnuchin, et. al. 1/2 a trillion without restrictions is a little too lax.

But get the fucking funds flowing to the people so they chill the fuck out.

Jesus. It's always politics with these fucks.

There are restrictions. You're being fed a bunch of lies. Btw, these very same provisions regarding the Treasury Secretary and the Administration of those funds was in the original House bill. It was less money but it was the exact same language.

But for every unrelated provision the democrats want in the package aren’t there a similar number of unrelated provisions the republicans want? The slush fund is the sticking point you hear first. Whether or not it’s true is important, but you know the messaging will never accurately represent it on either side.

There are the whacky ancillary and “hidden items” coming in on both sides. This is more or less how 100% of congressional bills work.
