Please, detail the ineptness for us HH. Last I heard dem leaders were calling Trump racist for closing down travel to and from China. A brilliant plan by rats right? Leave the borders open and keep travel open to and from China so that we aren't looking racist.
As I've said before, but for a few Presidents in a small number of situations, they all tend to be criticized. It's a tough spot and you're damned if you do and damned if you don't.
I have little to no criticism for the politicians I've seen on stage and whose actions of which I'm aware, other than Inslee needing to provide a little more assurance than he has, as Trump did today. See Purple's posts on that matter.
The economy matters, so there's nothing in my view inappropriate about taking a pause and learning before before you start giving pressers that cause the market to free fall.
When you're in "I don't know what I don't know" mode, it's a bad spot. I'm not in the habit of second-guessing people in those spots - Inslee or Trump - when I don't have a clear line of sight as to what I would have done with the information at hand.
I think Trump's done a good job and has reacted reasonably given the circumstances.
Bitching to bitch is an American birthright. But still ....

How long are you gals going to hang your hats on Chuck Schumer being mean as an excuse for all the other dumb fucking shit Daddy did and said before and as this thing unfolded? It’s Daddy who degraded our response capabilities, though he now says he knows nothing about it. Harry Truman > Sergeant Schulz
In fact, at the beginning of the coronavirus crisis, Trump repeatedly downplayed threat, inaccurately comparing it to the flu and telling his supporters that growing worry about the coronavirus was a "hoax."
At a Feb. 28 rally in Charleston, S.C., Trump told thousands of cheering fans that "the Democrats are politicizing the coronavirus."

Yeah, he didn't call COVID itself a hoax. But he's so undisciplined, that politically it doesn't matter.
That is Trump, w/o question. If I had to pick only one thing to bitch about with him, it would be that ... too much bravado and lack of ability to see that pausing and thinking before popping off and winning a Rose Bowl is actually a sign of strength. It's not the world he comes from though, which is much more zero/sum game.

That's a statement of fact.
If he thought it was a the virus was a hoax would he have restricted travel from China at the end of January? You all remember, the action that cryin chuck said was racist?

I'll put this at an 81% chance the whole thing is bollux. But you have to deal with the 19% chance it's not. Eventually the truth all comes out.
Eventually.
