  • If they think a single recruiter is going to change the current landscape, they are very mistaken. In the next couple years, USC is going to feel the full effects of the last couple recruiting cycles.

Yeah, it's going to be glorious to see the ongoing meltdown on the main USC boreds.

They've been sustained the last few years with the residual talent on their roster. For some it's a false sense of hope.

It's an ongoing talking point about much 4/5* rated talent is still there.

Once it finally thins out and you see the fruits of your 3* or less recruiting with less than optimal coaching and development - it's going to be sad times.

Problem is that the Washingtons and Oregons of the conference can't take advantage fully from the talent available because of the viable exodus to other major schools like Alabama Clemson or Georgia etc.

As the pac12 lags further behind it's gonna be bad to see Jimmy Lake get poached by a mid level sec-ish school and get Mel Tucker plus 25% money.

    Thanks Larry!

Restore order was a doog staple during the duckade

    USC is fucked

It's basically where I got my "USC really respects us" shtick; because restoring order means putting them back on top.

Here 20 years later, hopefully even the doogs understand that there is nothing tangible to be gained with USC owning the league again. Other than for people who naturally love the monarchy and find comfort in looking up to others. There are those people. I don't understand them ... at all ... but they exist.

Well that's an optimistic take. You'd better hope that's your? problem; because the more likely scenario is that you're calling for his head in a year's tim. In all seriousness, I am not sold on that guy at all. There is literally nothing on which to base optimism. He's the epitome of sizzle until he's not.

You're old enough to know better.

Its not about USC respecting us, its that we respect USC even though they only have two rivals and we ain't one of them

Other than 59 when USC was on probation, UW had to beat USC every time they went to the Rose Bowl. And often lost to UCLA so who gives a fuck about them. Even can lose to Oregon and go to the Rose Bowl. Three times

When John McKay came in and started kicking Jim Owens ass all over the field they became the gold standard not only of the Pac but nationwide. Remember that blue bloods were formed as the earth was cooling after the big bang. James going .500 against USC was big. He had a losing record against UCLA so who gives a fuck about them

You do more credit for winning the Pac when USC is great. But they rarely lose it when they are great.

The Chipper knocked off the Carroll dynasty. Oregon got a lot of credit for that

Just look at the last two years when UW and UO won the league with Clay being a moron. Yawn. No playoff

USC lost one game many times under Carroll and got shut out of the BCS. UW lost to USC and made the playoffs. Playoffs?

The respect is real. For USC. Not us.
Agree entirely. USC has Notre-Dame-level aura. You can't buy aura. You just can't.

Btw, I loved this: Remember that blue bloods were formed as the earth was cooling after the big bang.

That's going into the rotation. And it's true.
