    Owens last Rose Bowl team

    Started out 0-3 non conference then won the rest except for UCLA clinching the bid with a win over USC at Husky Stadium

    Oddly enough the Huskies next Rose Bowl appearance would be the 1977 season where they started out 1-3 non conference, James moved into his office then won the rest except for UCLA clinching the bid with a win over USC at Husky Stadium

    The UCLA jinx goes back a long way.
