It would take that thing many thousands of years of travel to get anywhere near where aliens may or may not be.

    Yeah? And?
It’s a matter of probabilities. Voyager 2 is 11.5 billion miles away. Speed of light would take 16 hrs to go that distance. Closest planet that may be able support life (odds are remote) is like 14 light years away. Most potential candidates are hundreds of light years away.

It’s not likely anyone else knows we are out here.

I'm with Hawking. Keep quiet they might think we taste like chicken.

That’s fine. Better safe than sorry.

It's all revenge of the nerds in here. Perhaps we need a science forum.

Based on the presence of warm salty water and organic molecules on Enceladus alien life could be a helluva lot closer than Voyager 2.

The word is with the collapse of the planet billionaires will be heading for space. The axiom space station will offer stays for a cool 55 million.

Yes, only a billion years more till single cell bacteria on Enceladus.

The origin of life is still not explained by "science". It's a long way from a RNA strand to a single cell bacteria. And its a long way from some chemicals in salt water to a RNA strand. Lot of leaps of faith at the beginning. Not much different than who created God.

I gave up on that one a long time ago. As a youth I was pretty resistant to the chemical stew explanation. Had problems with the God explanation also. Our current public education system has no problem with the chemical stew explanation and studiously avoids any honest discussion of the problematic issues.

Aliens could exist in tangential dimensions of space to us and be a lot "closer" than our concept of 3d space would lead us to believe.
