Fun fact: @89ute has been on my erg in the Yella Piss garage. It wasn't pretty.
Awkward movement, slippery seat, trying to pull the thingy while slipping backward, plus my shirttail kept getting caught in the slidey seat. Kinda reminded me of swimming, trying to move through the water and breathe at the same time. it wasn't pretty.
In 2023 you can join me while we do 3 fast laps around Green Lake, my way on foot.

9.3 miles ? Fuck that. I’ll do one lap with you and then go meet Pup at the Little Red Hen for some cold Bud Heavy
You all realize there are these things called motors that will get you where you’re going a fuck ton faster than biblical times oars, right?
Sure. Bring your motor to the Sol Duc or the Calawah.
Someone will fish your carcass out of the river. Or the crawdads and seagulls will take care of it. And the local meth heads will wind up with the motor.

Also, this is a rowing thread.
Jet propulsion, fren. 1.7 feet clearance.
Dual 220 hp. Zero to 47 mph in about 5 seconds. Fuck the meth heads.

While you might survive the trip to the river - your sled trailer won't. You park that in Forks and you'll come back to a pile of scrap metal where your trailer used to be. They aren't fans of jet sleds in Forks.

They weren't big fans of long hair in the 70's either
Row boat is a tough sport. I'm not as big or physcially gifted as Yellow but you train fucking hard for that if you're doing it competitively and want to get anywhere. You can't be some fat slob pitcher who happens to be able to throw a ball 94 mph.

I'll stick with the Clearwater where the *real* steelheads play.

Good lord @PurpleThrobber . I love N. Idaho but let's pretend those steelhead are on par with OP fresh out of the salt fish. Them Idaho fish are darn near dead by they time they get past the Cuog row boat house. I'm surprised they can even get it up.
Caught a 25 lb Clearwater steelhead at the mouth of the Deschutes. They like to pull into the colder water of the Deschutes and rest. Was in fabulous shape.

Can confirm.
No jet sleds unless you're a Tahola, Hoh or Quinault card carrying member.

But I did figure out how to log back in to HH and I don't email Derek whining all the time, so there's that.
