my sister and her hubby had the same - they vacation and arrive at their destinations by separate modes of transportation. Kids split with the parents.

I don't know. Maybe it would be best to have the whole family down. The survivors have to live with it.

on a couple of vacations I did the same - but that was because I didn't want to listen to girl talk - guys in one, girls in the other
