Seeing all the recs has surprisingly convinced me this could go to 64.

Anyone mention Raging Bull? Only the greatest movie of all time...according to some. Not according to me, but its still great.

It’s somewhat strange that it’s considered such a masterpiece. I really like it and have seen it start to finish probably 5 times, but you always hear actors and directors talk about it being the best ever.

When was Downey in a football movie? That’s worse than Tom Cruise playing football. It’s not even slightly believable.

    Basketball

    WMCJ
    etc...

    Football
    the Last boy scout
    Necessary Roughness
    etc

1-32 with the the brackets by release dates is probably better than breaking it up by football, fighting, basketball, etc. Fighting probably has the eventually champ in it and a couple other favorites.

Speaking of fighting movies that haven’t been mentioned, Warrior with Tom Hardy and Nick Nolte was fucking incredible.

Not sure they’d make it in a final list but a couple that I saw missing

    Football:

    We Are Marshall
    The Blind Side
    Brian’s Song

    Baseball:

Pride of the Yankees (cheesy black and white)

    Golf:

    The Greatest Game Ever Played

I may have missed Talladeaga Nights being mentioned

Green Street Hooligans. Great older flick with Charlie Hunnan before SAMCRO.

Not believable for high school football?

RDJ gets in for 1 play the whole movie, when AMH breaks his dick, and get's sacked for a 30+ yard loss

Varsity Blues pretty good, especially with the teach...dayum. I’d gave her a 10 as well.

Friday Night Lights a little better tho imo.

I just watched Out of the Furnace for the 3rd time. Christian Bale, Woody Harrelson, Casey Affleck, Zoe Saldana, Sam Shepard, Forest Whitaker, and Willem fucking Dafoe.

I highly recommend it if you want to feel awful for 2 hours.

You guys are doing well but I haven't seen Semi-Pro. Jackie Moon as the do it all owner, team GM, coach, player, halftime entertainment. Woody as the crusty vet who cucks his #1 fan. Andre 3000 as Coffee Black.

We can't be friends if Louden Swain and his main squeeze don't make the list.

Surprised with all the fags in here there was nobody pimping wrestling.
