Sounds like Lamar Campbell didn't make it, but I'm not surprised really. I was surpised he was slated to make it at all. From what he's said during interviews lately it seems like he's set on a scholarship offer to Utah State and you can't blame him for that.

Also Bradley McGannon, DL from Yelm with offers from CWU and Simon Fraser, made the trip.

Holy shit. Add that to the Hazen and Sehome improbables list.
Didn't we get a guy named Yakaboski or something out of there
I had to look him up and he was actually from Mt. Si. There was one year where Ty took like 4 RB commits who all sucked and he was one of them along with Curtis Shaw, Willie Griffin, and Brandon Johnson
remind me which one of those guys did murder?
I think it was Brandon Johnson but it was never confirmed 100% that it was the same Brandon Johnson. I think Sark RB commit Melvin Davis was also involved. One of the Fogersons ran ill of the law too I think
Polk was “allegedly” and I use that very loosely because I heard this first hand from the weed dealer that Brandon Johnson and Polk pulled a Jeremiah Pharms without the shooting. Johnson got booted. Polk stayed and nothing ever came of it.

Freeman was small but could have been good. Brandon Johnson wasn’t bad either and had a 100+ yard game against Cal. Horrible person tho. I think he’s doing life in prison. Griffin was trash. Shaw was fast and even played WR a little bit but was a disappointment.

Polk looked terrible as a true freshman before he got hurt. I actually thought Freeman looked the best but he was gone once Sark took over.
Freeman was a little dynamo. I liked him.

Chris Polk is probably the greatest rhino cum success story in program history. A lot of people remember him as always being this BallzFS Big Back™, but he was twiggy as fuck when he came into the program, and was more of a hybrid slot receiver/running back guy as a recruit.

IIRC, he even ended up playing a little fullback in the NFL.
He looks yoked there, but I remember his photo from the combine and he had a beer gut. Don’t know if it was because of his perpetually fucked yo shoulder or his work ethic. In any case, he was really good and it’s too bad he had to play on those teams.

He was recruited as WR, his transformation into a power back was insane to me.

Probably my favorite player since Tui.
Mine too. Actually I think he's my favorite period but that changes day to day.

I've never been so surprised by a player at UW as I was with Polk in that LSU game. He was nothing like what I expected. I said out loud that we'd see him take a couple of handoffs, get crumpled up, and be carried off the field.

I was curious, so I looked them up, and they must have agreed to plea deals because neither are serving life.

Brandon Johnson can get out in just 5 years.

Looks like Melvin Davis picked up a drug problem along the way, but he can get out in a little less than 2.

Caveat here that the birthdays look right, but there is a chance these could be different guys with the same last name.

He did that immediately following the hawaii offer; so hard to blame him there.

Don’t pay for this, but this is a good sign that he might pass on the local scholarship.

This walk-on class looks very impressive
I’ll believe it when I see it.

It’s one thing to walk on when you’re from Seattle and get in state tuition and have your support system right there , it’s another thing when you’re from Hawaii and have to pay out of state tuition.

Obviously out of state walk ons have turned down schollies elsewhere before (Myles Bryant) but it’s definitely the exception.

I’d be thrilled if this kid does. Hopefully his parents are pretty well off.

Very true. This is a case where the Poly pipeline and support back in the islands (Justin) plus the fact that the kid could not expect better DB opportunities anywhere in the country would have to weigh big in the decision. Walking on to play under Jimmy's secondary is a big difference.

That and aren't both his parents alums (might have him mixed up with another kid, ISAFNRC!)?
