    If you go back to Lester Maddox in 1967 Atlanta (he was the Rat mayor back then), you will find a similar racist with a similar racist message. The dem party is still the same. Filled with hate and racism.

    The rats FEEL that gentrification doesn't include them for some reason. It is amazing to see white skinned rats going on and on about gentrification when the reality is, most city dwellers who buy old houses and fix them up are rats.

    When immigrants both legal and illegal, move to Nevada or Colorado and Virginia and turn formerly Red States into Blue States that is never a problem but when whites move into black or Hispanic neighborhoods that's bad.

    When you move to the burbs it's White Flight. Move in town it's gentrification. Whatever, just take my property taxes and spread them out among all the city employees and keep calling me evil. What we need more of is people sitting around in litter all day and doing nothing to improve their homes- that's what makes great neighbors.

    Meanwhile, blacks can flee the cities when Hispanics move into their neighborhoods and that will be reported as a good thing and a sign of progress. Blacks moving to the suburbs is never reported on as "black flight" or an example of their racism toward Hispanics. Only whites can be criticized for where they move to.

    There was an article in the AJC years ago about the black communities around Stone Mountain that are swim/tennis as well neighborhoods. Residents were getting pissed because folks who lived outside of the neighborhood were using the basketball court and of course crap came along with it. So it became a struggle for the residents who wanted the resources they pay for to only be used by residents. I'm pretty certain it's not about skin color, it's about using the facilities you provide and not wanting them trashed by outside groups.

    A city near mine in Kali had this problem. A great park with lots of basketball courts. Dirtbags began playing there. Crime rose. Violence occurred, became a large problem. One day the city yard workers showed up armed with large metal cur off saws and cut down every hoop, pole and backboard at the park. Probably 20 courts gone.

    Problem solved but now no courts for the actual residents.
