Bring on Tyson Helton as Oc--when clay gets fired, make Tyson interim hc and hire him full time After he goes 4-2 to finish the season. Then bring on clay as OC. Time is a flat Helton

No, I don't like to see USC be miserable.

I like to see them happy, but not ecstatic.

The longer they are happy, the longer Clay holds his job. Too many public humiliations and it's over at the snap of a finger.

yes, exactly. USC has allowed non-football related problems to affect the entire university's credibility and reputation to the point that they cannot run the football program the way a football program needs to be run to be elite. They have to prove (although I'm not clear on exactly who... probably the newspapers and the court of public opinion mostly) that the university is world class serious about trying to be an elite academic institution.
