What concerns me is that he was hired off of an idea. This is not the job to reinvent yourself at. He realistically should have been an oc at a d2 school first to build himself back up. This hire could literally kill the program. They are going to be ridiculed if it goes as expected.
Sometimes smart people think they are way smarter than they are and don’t just make the obvious move because that would be too obvious. FFS this is bad. Adams and huff likely need help to be good at their jobs and i doubt this guy can help them.
Jenn and Jimmy also are the worst negotiators in college football right now. -
I’m not convinced that keeping Adams and Huff was a good thing. It possibly handcuffed us. Jimmy struck out and hired the guy his agent recommended. That’s my prediction and I hope Vorel digs in and answers this for us.AtomicDawg said:

I would have loved taking a shot on a FCS or NAIA coach that was lighting it up. That’s what Yurich was a few years ago before Gundy hired him at Oklahoma State.
I just can’t accept hiring a veteran coach that has not done well and was basically a coaching nomad with a kush NFL job with very little responsibility but to be an extra set of eyes. -
