"Even from afar, they have an Ohio State problem between the ears that translates more than just a gap in personnel, which is as Kirk said is real especially in the speed department,” Fowler said on the conference call
"we are recruiting as good or better than Oregon" and I got a laugh out of this one.
Mentally weak.
Good news for Michigan is that Day has already botched two big calls against Clemson. Didn't go for two and kicked the extra point to go up 2 which is meaningless then gave Lawrence the ball back trailing by 2
There is no proof doing the opposite would have worked but it was the better play if you want to win
Talent can come and go and there is no proof yet that tOSU will be as mighty post Urban
When Harbaugh got hired he got a ton of free pub for his recruiting. I’m not going to check but they always rank high.
He’s had some good teams that many picked to win a couple games against Ohio State and he got beat every one. I think he had 1-2 that were really close.
Ohio State has more talent but Michigan had a lot of players drafted, some top ranked defenses.. It’s more than just talent.
The recruiting gap is certainly one reason, but it's more than that. Look at the other Big 10 teams that have picked up wins against Ohio State since the last time Michigan won a game in this rivalry: Purdue Iowa Penn State Michigan State(Twice) Virginia Tech(Not a Big 10 team, but they still went into Columbus and beat the Buckeyes)
Of those teams, the only one that's even close to Michigan when it comes to recruiting is Penn State.
It's not even just that they're beating Michigan, but in 3 of the 5 losses since Harbaugh took over, including the last 2, the games haven't even been competitive.

Since I'm still on leave and really have nothing better to do, and i'm curious as to exactly how they've ranked, i've gone back and looked at the recruiting rankings for Michigan & Ohio State since Harbaugh took over:
2015: Ohio State - 7th nationally(1st in Big 10). Michigan - 37th nationally(5th in Big 10) 2016: Ohio State - 4th nationally(1st in Big 10). Michigan - 8th nationally(2nd in Big 10) 2017: Ohio State - 2nd nationally(1st in Big 10). Michigan - 5th nationally(2nd in Big 10) 2018: Ohio State - 2nd nationally(1st in Big 10). Michigan - 22nd nationally(3rd in Big 10) 2019: Michigan - 8th nationally(1st in Big 10). Ohio State - 14th nationally(3rd in Big 10) 2020: Ohio State - 4th nationally(1st in Big 10). Michigan - 11th nationally(2nd in Big 10)
So Ohio State has brought in better recruiting classes in 5 of the 6 classes since Harbaugh took over, but aside from 2015 and 2018, they've all been ranked fairly close.

Unless YOU have proof in HAND...it’s speculation for YOU. ‘Those who know’....meaning YOU are not a ‘THOSE’. I didn’t create the English language but ‘speculation’ is pretty cut and dry. Unless you are an eye witness, YOU are speculating. Word of mouth is not proof.
