Per someone on dawgman claiming to be in the know, Jackxson Kirkland was dead set on going pro but has come to the realization and acceptance that declaring this year might be a poor life decision so he is returning.
I don't understand how Kirkland thought this was a good idea unless he was like a cunt hair away from flunking out or something.
For real. NFL teams have no problem cutting a 5th round pick. With only a couple reserve OL spots available, they don’t have time to let a guy develop for 2 years. Or they get stashed on the practice squad where you are one cunt hair or injury from being out of the league.
Meh. This is just classic confirmation bias. It's telling because we want it to be telling. But these exact comments are made by players every single time there's a regime change. Sometimes they're telling, sometimes they're not. Time will tell.
I think Suburban makes a good point when he compares UW tweets to other schools
UW is all grind and work. Other schools show kids having fun
It's ok to have fun. Winning is fun. Making winning a grind is no bueno
i guess on one hand you could say that, but all those top kids digging into the FSP program are always tweeting the grind angle on days others would normally party so i don't know that you could say it's worse at all...it's just our culture is building towards steak not sizzle. I'm actually pretty good with this as long as we stay on brand.
