Eastern Conference

Is such a fucking dreckfest. If the playoffs started today 5 teams under .500 would make the playoffs and another one that IS .500 would make it as well.

The Eastern Conference is entering Cal territory in this thread.

The stars are aligning for a small market NBA finals kick-in-the-balls to David Stern in his last year as dictator.

12,000 and change in Atlanta to watch OKC. NBA needs to move one of those teams to Seattle. Atlanta's fanbase is a joke. Lost NHL to Spokane sized Winnipeg. OKC is a tiny, minor league joke of a city that delivers shit TV #s and revenues to the league. Fuck you David Stern.

As KobeStopper (RIP) pointed out, the way that fuckhead Clay Clay dismantled a team that could have been great in OKC was a crime. With the Heat imploding due to age OKC could have won multiple titles. Instead Durant will leave to play in LA or with Lebron. Serves them right

Once they are decimated, Seattle will get them back

Atlanta will never lose the Hawks.

Quad Cities never thought they'd lose the Hawks either. Ditto Milwaukee. St. Louis...

Since David Stern is soon to be done, the trend of locating NBA teams in Pacific Coast League cities is about to come to an end. So, yeah, Hawks ain't moving.

    They will always have '94-'95

What? The Seattle SuperSonics are playing in Tacoma? Well, why not treat yourself and let Stu and Skank handle the driving!

Great year. I went to about 10 games that year. Losing to the Lakers in the first round was really special. I was honored to even watch the Sonics play a team with the tradition of the Lakers.

The two years that MJ plays baseball and the Sonics lose in the first round to Denver and LA, who was really a bad team then. Houston could not beat Seattle - Kenny Smith will tell you that today - they were thrilled.

Then the Sonics finally win the west when the Bulls are a 72 win best ever squad

Seahawk fans beware - bad shit almost always happens. War 1978!

I understand the buyout would be ridiculous. But the 1st team to move will be Charlotte, basketball is done in that town. TV and Stadium dollars are among the worst ever.
Meanwhile Sacramento's pipedream arena is stuck in the mud.
OKC, Mil and other markets are putting out horrendous results.
Half the league is tanking (whether they're trying to do it or not)
The NBA is just an absolute joke that stern has ran into the ground.

"Go fuck yourself" he says smugly.

The NBA needs some great rivalries. It's gotten kind of soft. Maybe Indiana and Miami can change that later this year, but Lebron's quote was telling when he said there are no great rivalries anymore.
