Did we wiff on CJ Elleby?

I realize the Dawgs offered him... and yeah, he was part of that in-state class that was still figuring out what UW was w/o Romar. That probably played a large part in his decision not to come here... the uncertainty of it all.
I just remember watching a lot of Rotary videos and being really impressed by his game. Did we not make a hard enough push for him? Did we overlook him? I can't really think anything other than, "yes." I can't help but think of how good this current UW team would be with Elleby on the court.
It's clear Elleby made a good decision going to WSU. He's THE GUY for the Cougs and its elevated him from an under-recruited high schooler to being projected in the second round of the NBA draft.
It sucks to play the what-if game with a Seattle-grown player that I can see a clear role for on this UW team.
