We can only hope. But the question is: who will lead that charge? The parties don't want it because it ruins their cash machine. The media doesn't want it because they red v. blue draws viewers. It's going to take some sort of Ross Perot kind of guy with a ridiculous amount of money and a passion for the cause to carry the banner.
