Why did anyone expect Green to be a star? He wasn’t starting at Kentucky and left because of playing time. I can understand being a little disappointed, but he was the 4th option all along.
He’s been okay. He will have to hit some big shots at some point this year.
He had the singular moment where he slashed to the basket on the lay up. If he’s that guy, then great. Otherwise, adequate but seems overhyped
Everything was easy and flowing, UW could do what they wanted on defense with the trap, zone, or man with ease. The offense flowed much better, better off ball movement and spacing, hit a few threes, good penetration inside for easy baskets and inside assists. Still wish there was better drive and kick game. Defenses already know green can’t score so they sag and play passing lanes and they know if Naz is driving he is forcing it all the way to the hoop.
The team still is heavily reliant on Stewart, he is clearly carrying the team in both play and leadership, will be interesting to see how he looks against actual Pac-12 guys.
Most disappointing is Abdul green, it’s not that he is bad, he is just meh. I was told he would be ELITE.
Most surprising so far is Timmons, dude actually looked confident and had some good quick footwork on the low block and it makes me chuckle every time he puts a move on a guy.
Hardy got 18 mins, some during regular time, and looked fine which is good. The bench/fill guys have looked surprisingly ok the times they have played during the preseason dreck games.
Quade has to be able to hit from 3 to keep the defense honest. OR beat guys off the dribble to score or kick. If that happens this team flows a lot better on offense. Right now he looks like post-injury Gaddy. Slow, hesitant, not great on defense, and unable to strike from 3.
If Bey and Naz can hit from outside at a decent clip we are fine. We own the paint.
Defense is a nightmare for opponents. Interesting to see how it holds up against consistently higher level competition.

Yes, we looked better. But let's ease up on the "the offense is fixed!" sizzle.
