Why end the bidding war early?
-
Early last year, I learned of the existence of soft-close auctions. Mostly, I learned to avoid them. Ostensibly, it's to prevent last second bids. The rule is that no lot can close if a bid is placed in the last two minutes. So any bid in that window resets the clock at two minutes left. I've had my heart broken too many times in soft-close auctions, as a half hour after my sweet deal vanished at the last second, it ends up being bought by some loser for way more than anybody should have agreed to pay.
I can't remember why I brought this up... -

Thought y’all would enjoy this beaut. Courtesy of Miami fans posting info from a USC board, which is third hand info from the “wealth manager” of some “guys” “wife” who is in “Bellevue” and gets his info from some top notch sources.

The best part is that those geniuses think that UM refers to them and not Michigan. No one questions it, unaware that used to be the likeliest destination before Harbaugh bounced. -
Sounds like you can’t handle the ups and downs of human auctions. I hope you were able to find an acceptable replacement. I can get you some Albanians at reasonable prices, but nothing better - the market has dried up.1to392831weretaken said:Early last year, I learned of the existence of soft-close auctions.
