Does a 6A Texas kid usually end up at Oklahoma or Texas?

6A is the highest class ... so you are almost assuredly going to recruit against the balance of the Big12 at minimum

Only if he's good. There are plenty of 6A kids that don't get recruited by the big boys.

    Thanks Captain Obvious

Point is that a 6A school isn’t off the radar of any school that recruits the area ... so if he is good there will be competition

As you start getting to 4A and below you have a better chance of finding really good players that are under recruited by the big schools locally

The “why are we* recruiting Texas” wars seem quaint now

Yes, but saying 6a is the highest level and is getting recruited by the Big12 isn't Captain Obvious.

I like fast running backs so I have to force myself to look past that at his other traits. He's quick too, and runs plenty hard. The only downside I saw was his tendency to run into people...mostly his teammates.

I like him and I think he could be fringe enough to get passed over by the schools we have no chance against for Texas players. Maybe not though. He's pretty good.

Huge jump from his sophomore to junior HUDL. Pad level could still be better but that’s fixable.

They were always dumb and a fan of UW should want good players, regardless of location. Yes, we will always have a hard time getting a Texas player with big offers, but it’s a big State with great football. There are tons of recruits that don’t get recruited by the big boys that we can get.

It’s really not much different in LA. The elite kids there go to USC or out of conference. There isn’t really a perfect answer. The players we have gotten out of Texas have been good too because we definitely don’t throw out offers to everyone down there.
