For Those Bitching The Defense Lost The Game

You gave a very good Oregon team with a good offense too many chances to exploit your defense and your weaknesses, and they did it.
The defense has a glaring weakness. Do your fucking job on offense like you did the entire goddamn game that you were the better team in for 3 quarters. Keep your offense on the field. Give your defense rest and give them fewer chances to fuck up. Score more points and ice the goddamn game.
The entire team deserves blame. Not just the defense. Make sure they all get it.

I thought it was a well-played college football game. We did a nice job against a good football team.
-
Team sits on a lead and plays to barely get a 1st down instead of to score points.
We didn't even commit a turnover until the failed 4th down conversion.
Playing scared as always. -
BOTH units deserve equal blame for the loss. Both had spurts where neither of them did jack shit when they needed to.
Bunch of pussies with no leader. No one cares about taking charge and making a play. -
Offense did stall out but we got absolutely gashed. How many 3rd and 4th did Oregon convert? We didn’t make one big defensive play when it counted in the 2nd half. Not one.

I’m just being an equal opportunity blame giver. -
Oregon went for a 4th and 1 on it's own 38 yard line. Then scored a TD on a 4th and 3 from like the plus 40.RoadDawg55 said:Offense did stall out but we got absolutely gashed. How many 3rd and 4th did Oregon convert? We didn’t make one big defensive play when it counted in the 2nd half. Not one.
A stop at either play would've likely won the game. UW was up 10 at that point. I knew the game was over when Oregon cut the lead to 3. At that point UW was rattled. -
but jimmy lake is a great DC, right???? Fuck all you doog, jimmy no ballz no fucking business callinga defense. fuck that bitchRoadDawg55 said:Offense did stall out but we got absolutely gashed. It was the wefs!

Dude we start 4 fucking walk-on in year 6 of Pete on defense...
-
There were a couple of third and long conversions too. Defense shit themselves. We should have never let up on offense either. We just have no consistency.PostGameOrangeSlices said:

The offense looked the best it had all year until late in the 3rd quarter. The defense had a stretch where they were lights out after the first drive. We lack a killer instinct and we always have under Pete. -
Clear case of abundance
The offense shit the bed when needed because the play calling and scheming is retarded. There is more than enough talent on the offense to trot out a top 15 offense.
The defense shit the bed because the ILBs suck ass
Bryant,i latgusoa, and mcduffie are the only guys I regularly trust on the defense. -
Two of those series, maybe three, had Pleasant and Baciella in the personnel packages.DoogCourics said:In the fourth quarter, the Huskies scored zero points in three offensive drives. They went three-and-out twice. They rushed for 5 yards and 0.6 yards per carry. Eason completed 4 of 6 passes for 47 yards, and spun backward into a 12-yard sack. They managed 52 total yards on 14 plays and went 1 for 4 on third down.

For my non-technical guys, those aforementioned guys suck -
3rd and 1, take the ball out of your best player's hands, put it in your 4th string rb's hands. That lost the game
-
Wasn’t just ILB’s. A lot of times only Wellington was in. We played with an extra DL a lot of the game. It worked well in the first half.Houhusky said:Clear case of abundance

DL wore down against a good OL because they couldn’t get off the field on third and fourth down. The DL has a couple chances to bring Herbert down and couldn’t get it done.
The missed tackles were by everyone. -
tbh, there's blame to go all around but zero sacks and zero turnovers is jarring.

Disagree. UW was the better team for 1 quarter (the 2nd quarter). UO and UW were tied for 1 quarter. UO was the better team during the 3rd and 4th quarters. That's not an opinion. That's what the scoreboard says.DoogCourics said:

I heard "baccelia in motion, pleasant in the backfield ..." I literally exclaimed out loud "Jesus fucking Christ!"

When it became apparent that Oregon’s offense had adjusted to take advantage of UW’s weaknesses on defense (looking at you, Manu), it became clear that the best defense was to keep ours* off the field. The offense needed to make first downs and score points. The did neither. The last 3 and outs, topped off by the wildcatFS, is what did is in. After that I knew Oregon was going to march down the field and score a TD because dicked ourselves and got too cute.
Eason and Ahmed were having great games and Hamdan takes them off the field in a critical third down play. Fuck, I knew how important that play was, why didn’t they? -
I didn't get to watch much of the game because I was watching OSU beat Cal in Berkley, but I did catch the 4th quarter. It looked like Hebert had all day to throw. No sacks the whole game? Pathetic.rodmansrage said:tbh, there's blame to go all around but zero sacks and zero turnovers is jarring.

I said this yesterday, without the stats. The better team, and program, and attitude, and coach and players won.DoogCourics said:In the fourth quarter, the Huskies scored zero points in three offensive drives. They went three-and-out twice. Beta Trickery is a Must for UW. They believe Oregon is their big brother, and Oregon is and always will be until that chicken-shit, David vs. Goliath bullshit ceases. Goliath wins the battle 99% of the time, as we all saw yesterday.MammaJamma said:When it became apparent that Oregon’s offense had adjusted to take advantage of UW’s weaknesses on defense (looking at you, Manu), it became clear that the best defense was to keep ours* off the field. Eason channeling Brownsocks with the deep pocket spin move warms my heart.
-
UW scored 31 on the top scoring defense.
-
Why is this even an opinion. The defence lost the game. It doesnt matter WHEN the offemce got points it just matters that they got them and the D couldnt hold.
If they put up 70 in the first quarter then the ducks crawled back to a 71-70 win then that is still 100% on the D. -
We scored 28 points in the first 31 minutes, then scored 3 in the last 29 minutes.UWhuskytskeet said:UW scored 31 on the top scoring defense.

The offense scored 31 points. I saw two walk in fucking touchdowns and a lot of missed tackles. We've lost to this faggot, gimmick program 76% of the time over the past 25 years. Let that sink in for a minute. It's absolutely pathetic. We should be blowing them away.
At least half of this is on the defense. Limit them to some field goals twice and we win. -
Losers lose

One team runs stupid gimmicky trick plays on the reg and the other team pounds it between the tackles non-stop, even when they're getting nothing.Fire_Marshall_Bill said:The offense scored 31 points. Who is the faggot, gimmick program again?
One team needed a 4th and 1 and ran their power back behind their 1st round LT. One team needed a 3rd and 1 and ran wildcat with their 4th string RB while faking a jet sweep to a JAG wr
