Although this isn't the sexy defensive minded coach hire that most wanted, I am glad that we will finally have a proved offensive mind. No more inconsistent offense leaving our defense hanging out to dry by having them defend 100 series a game.
Petersen's trick plays seem to work, too for big gains and scores in crucial situations... Sark's gadget plays were always miserable failures.
He doesn't run nearly as many trick plays as people think. Yes he does throw one in every now and then but this seems to be exaggerated by the way they beat Oklahoma awhile back.
