    Woodward made the situation worse by letting TW hang around to almost destroy the program, (but that MAY have been "NO BALLS" Emmert). I like to call him "No Balls".

    He did ok hiring Pool Boy. He again probably let him hang around too long.

    He DID get the stadium done, long before I ever thought he could do it. Lude got a North Upper Deck built on time AFTER it fell down once.

    Babs got HecEd rebuilt.

    The evidence points to Woodward being the best AD since Joe Kearney. (37 years)

    Luck plays a factor in this stuff. UW was lucky to get Don James, because he almost go the Colorado job the year before, but he turned out to be their #2 choice.

    Colorado hired some guy that was coming off of an 11-0 season from Miami (OH), compared to James record of 9-2 at Kent State.

    But James turned out to be the better coach.

    Woodward vs Kearney...I'm still going Kearney. He was taking a lot bigger chance and if defined the program for decades afterward. That's huge.


    Woodward, for all the good he's done in the last two weeks, has been bailed out by circumstance. He'd have kept FatSark around next year and given him an inevitable extension after the inevitable 10 win season, and the program would still be fucked.

    Woodward did great once he was forced to, but he'd have never fired Sark, and a great AD fires Sark. Has to.
