Trigger Warning

There have been plenty of discussions about the increasing talent in the recruiting classes the last few years (as well as push back from non-TBSers). But I am going to Doog beyond Doog and say that today was the tipping point.

For all the Blue Chips that UW landed in the 2017, 2018, and the current 2019 classes, there had yet to be that linchpin Elite recruit that can be a draw for other players. There is one from the 2021 class, our Lord and Savior Sam Huard (who played a major role in getting Savvy to UW), but he was a kid that was always coming here. The Elite hometown players have consistently left UW behind.

Finally, an Elite Seattle prospect is staying home and has just one goal, win a National Championship for his city. Sam Huard is beacon for the offensive players (also helped with McMillan), and Sav'ell Smalls will be the beacon for the defensive players.

In-State players are going to see no reason to leave home:

Elite West Coast athletes in the next few classes are going to see a real path to a National Championship at the University of Washington.

I know the running joke is always "20_ _ is going to be speshul".

But seriously, with the RS Freshman, Freshman, current commits, and the kids coming in the next few classes, the next 4-5 years are going to be really fucking special.
