"Giuliani brought with him an affidavit from Shokin which claimed that he was pressured into resigning because he was unwilling to drop a case against energy company Burisma Holdings, where Biden's son Hunter was a board member. The affidavit states that it was pressure from the U.S. -- specifically Biden -- in the form of withholding the billion dollars that led to Shokin leaving office."

But but Shokin wasn't even investigating Hunter Biden and all the other EU countries wanted him gone too.

Have direct and almost unlimited access to the Vice President of the United States would look pretty good on a resume. Just sayin'.

I sure he and Joe both knew that. And that's why they exploited it.
Cheney and Halliburton say hello. Nothing new here, waste of Internet bandwidth.

Comparing apples to dog shit says hello. Also have to point out that you're the very same Kunt who cries about old news and Hillary no longer being in office when anyone brings her up.

Cheney worked at Hallibuton after leaving office. I don't know of any relations of Cheney's that then worked at or profited from Haliburton after he returned to office. Got a link Kunt?

Or is the fact that you just mouthed the magic word "Halliburton" all you needed to do? Shocked you didn't toss in a "neo-Con."

The comparison is asinine. The DOD didn't hire Halliburton on Cheney's recommendation. Unlike Hunter Biden, Halliburton not only had the expertise and the experience in the field to do the job, as you point out they were the only contractor at the time who could do some of the jobs.

    Actually, sad but true.

The whole of them need to GTFO. Vote every fucking incumbent out. Christ, I’d even vote Dem as a quid pro quo for that objective

Then put in motherfucking term limits on these bastards. Biden should be in no position to make his sleezeball kid a multimillionaire. And list off any GOP politician who played the same game. It’s bullshit.

Bob, that’s kinda naive, don’t you think?

Halliburton is a beast corporation but there’s no question they got a little extra something something due to Cheney.

It's ridiculous trying to justify any politician, regardless of the letter next to their name, using their their influence to enrich themselves. The vast majority do it in plain site and since they make the rules, nothing can be done about it.

Halliburton was doing exactly the same kind of contracting work for the DOD before Cheney was ever VP. No relative of Cheney's that I'm aware of made money off Halliburton or Cheney's position as VP.

Who is trying to justify it Hondo? I'll admit that Cheney cashed in on his previous experience in Government when he went to work for Halliburton but to compare that to Hunter Biden cashing in on his dad's office while his dad was in office isn't quite the same. If you have evidence that Cheney enriched himself while he was in office lets see it.

You are correct Bob. Cheney kept those profits for himself.

Halliburton has become the object of several controversies involving the Iraq War and the company's ties to former U.S. Vice President Dick Cheney. Cheney retired from the company during the 2000 U.S. presidential election campaign with a severance package worth $36 million.[46] As of 2004, he had received $398,548 in deferred compensation from Halliburton while Vice President.[47] Cheney was chairman and CEO of Halliburton Company from 1995 to 2000 and has received stock options from Halliburton.[48]

In the run-up to the Iraq War, Halliburton was awarded a $7 billion contract for which only Halliburton was allowed to bid.[49]

Cheney would have been paid that money by Halliburton even if he was never VP. Now if you want criticize the all too cozy relationship between former government officials and lobbyist, and industries that are reliant on government contracts to survive I'm all ears.

Exactly, and they were awarded no bid contracts under Bill Clinton for the same reasons. They only became the evil HALLIBURTON when Cheney took office.
