Your money. Like you make enough for her to target you.

I get being a disillusioned Democrat. Their shift to the right over the last 40 years has disappoonted a lot of us. But now that being progressive and actually wanting to help people is in vogue again, I don't get caping for a narcissistic morally bankrupt "billionaire" grifter who unabashedly doesn't give a shit about anybody but himself and anything but his own fucking wallet. I can see saying "it's about fucking time" but not "fuck you all," like you're doing.
How much over your actual taxes do you send the government? If you don't then please shut the hell up. You don't want to help anyone. You want everyone else to do it so you can feel better.

Always have to laugh at those who blather that you have to have a zero carbon footprint in order to talk about climate change or give away all your money before you can talk about raising taxes for social programs. Something something Al Gore flies in jets something something AOC staff drive cars yada yada HYPOCRITZ!!! FWIW I do cuntribute locally, thanks, but the only way to get meaningful change/improvement is through legislation that gets those who have benefited the most from the system to pay back into it.

Also have to laugh at anybody on this bored who thinks Warren is after their money. Nobody here is rich enough except for HI HARV!
This morning, I happened to be listening to a podcast with Tom Sowell reviewing his book "The Vulgar Pride of Intellectuals". I thought of you the whole tim.

On what basis would you suppose to know how much money a bunch of strangers have accumulated? That this bored serves a fanbase centered around a program in one of the wealthiest cities in the country makes that assumption even more foolhardy.

I think it's very safe for me to assume my tax burden would increase after 4 or 8 years of Warren. Talk me out of it.

    Obsession is unhealthy

Congrates if you're wealthy enough to be in Warren's crosshairs. Odds are you aren't, but heey, anything is possible

I fully expect my taxes to increase. I also expect that tax increase to be offset by cost decreases in things like health care provision and education costs. But yeah, cry about taxes some more because it's a convenient bogeyman for people who can't think past themselves
    Obsessed with what?

Again, how on earth would you know, or have any inkling, about the odds concerning my wealth? Seriously? We usually get the "I don't believe you" posts from the resident retards. Before @HoustonHusky had his way with you on the Reagan/Soviet Union matter, I expected better from you. Moreover, on what basis are you so confident that you know where she'll even set her crosshairs?

To add insult to injury, you're guessing I'm poor based on nothing but your own sense of self importance, and then have the nerve to want me to accept that you fully expect your tax burden to increase? You are an arrogant little fucker aren't you? Sowell is right about your kind of people.

    Storytime, Race.

We run a local engineering firm. It's a profit-sharing company, which means that employees get nice bonuses at the end of the year. One junior engineer didn't realize this, and she broke down crying when she got her first end-of-year bonus (we had another part time office staff come to us sheepishly and say she thought there was a mistake on her check). But that's not all. We offer OT pay to our salaried employees, so their salary is their base and they get paid if they have to work longer hours. We'd rather have work done right than work done hastily. One engineer who loves to work OT earns nearly as much as my wife does. But it's all good, because even though we're paying OT, it's kind of gravy because all the other business costs are already paid for through their RT work.

As business owners we're tasked with providing health insurance. Over the years we've seen premium costs rise 8-10%/yr, even as coverage gets worse. What hasn't changed is our policy of reimbursing out-of-pocket expenses for our employees and their families, so they don't have to worry about whether or not they get the health care that they need. Co-pays? check. Deductibles? done. Rx? yup. They need it, we make sure they get it. One engineer had a girlfriend whom he expected to marry sometime but they had no set plans, and she left a job and her COBRA was fucking her over. He asked us if we would put her on his coverage, so we put her on as a dependent at a cost of $8800/yr. Another junior engineer had a lot of delayed dental work done because our company was the first health care coverage they'd had in years. $4000 out of pocket. We took care of it.

See, we're doing on a small scale what Warren wants the whole country to do. Take care of people. Does it cut into our profits? Yes. We're doing well, and if we lived in suburban Missouri we'd probably be seen as pretty rich. But we live in coastal California, so we're just doing well. We could be making more, but that would mean not taking care of our people as well as we think they need to be taken care of. Would our business taxes increase with Warren? Probably. But not only would our health insurance provision costs disappear, we'd also know that everybody would be getting the care they need, not just our employees and their families. It can be done. We're already doing it.

And I will never not mock Temecula

You may find this shocking but I actually believe one of, if not the biggest, issues in our country is the disparity of pay between the uppermost corporate elite and the rank and file performers. It’s killed the middle class because the CEOs only give two fucks: their own comp plan and their stock price...which generally explodes their own comp plan.

It used to be something like CEOs made 20 times the average employees. Now, it’s something like 2500 times. That’s not actual - purely illustrative but you get the point

If your wife’s business is behaving ethically and as a good corporate citizen, that’s great. I wouldn’t take it to the extreme as Warren but unless the corporate fat cats get their own shit in order, somebody is going to come in and fuck up their shit for them.

How much over your actual taxes do you send the government? If you don't then please shut the hell up. You don't want to help anyone. You want everyone else to do it so you can feel better.

    POTD!

    You're not usually this cunty

Odds are you're not among the ultra-wealthy that Warren has targeted. You could be much richer than I am and still not be a target.

I know where she'll set her crosshairs because I've looked at her plans. You can, too, since it seems that you're ignorant of them so far.
    Which means next to nothing.

She knows that taxing the very tippy top doesn't raise enough revenue to pay for her ambitions. I expect you know that too.

Bear is just going to keep ignoring the poor bearing the burden of the climate change bullshit and the jacking o energy prices

Also have to ignore that Bernie is honest enough to say the middle class taxes will go up

Jacking corporate taxes sends money and jobs overseas stopping the economy which also hurts the poor and middle

Denying that middle class folks like me are increasing our wealth and keeping more of it by mocking Temecula is a show of his great empathy

Its always the same. The elite prosper and the proles suffer

Storytime...its funny how most profit-sharing systems for small businesses are set up so that they avoid having to pay payroll taxes on those distributions to their employees (i.e. SS and Medicare). And hey, if you are doing it as dividends you get to duck income tax rates as well...

More power to you, but don't explain in the same breath how the rest of us need to pay more taxes.

To believe that Warren is only going to soak the rich is pretty fucking naive. Oh yeah, she also has promised to ban fracking which means higher fuel prices and that before she enacts her carbon tax.

This. The naivety required to believe that raising rates on billionaires is going to generate enough money to pay for 5 trillion over 10 years in new taxes that will be required to implement her plans (which does not even include pieces of the Green New Deal) is either willful ignorance or complete idiotic bliss.

    https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2019/aug/18/elizabeth-warrens-plans-cost-5-trillion-over-10-ye/

I have no idea if these figures are accurate or not. But I found them, so I'm using them. Even if they are off it is still a STAGGERING sum of money to pay for all of her bullshit. Yeah, taxing the top 1/10th of 1 percent is going to cover it. LOL. Naive in the extreme. Historically Dems like attacking taxes at around the 250K per year mark. That's me. I would bet it's also a solid chunk of this bored. If Warren is elected I would bet my Rolex collection she targets "Upper Middle Class" fucks like me quick fast and in a hurry.

Throw in increased energy costs and it's a recipe to get me and millions of others to stop spending. That's great for the economy I hear. This shit is so simple to deduce. Yet Dems spend so much energy trying to do tortured mental gymnastics to convince us all that based on some nebulous bullshit that exists only in fantasy land this will somehow be better for me. Or something. Only true believers or genuine morons could possibly believe it.
