I dont evaluate hips. There are enough closet homos around here more qualified to do that.CFetters_Nacho_Lover said:
How are his hips? Does he bulges in his thighs?chuck said:I like him. Highlights are not amazing but good. He doesnt have elite speed or quickness, but has some of both. He gets a lot of tough yards with a stiff arm, spins, and by running over smaller tacklers. Also some good receiving skills.

Yeah kind of, right? I think this guy is bigger and not as agile as Gaskin.FKA_Mousecop said:

Some people hate me for this, but running for only 873 yards doesn’t excite me. Seems like a solid prospect, but nothing special.chuck said:I like him. Highlights are not amazing but good. Dick Newton was underwhelming in high school but will likely be good at UW. It’s just easier to feel better about guys that completely dominate. -
As the resident Eurotrash that is definitely not a soccer goalRaceBannon said:Is that a soccer goal?

873 yards on how many carries?RoadDawg55 said:

I'm still not sure about Newton. Runs straight up and seems like he'll be hurt more often that with that style.RoadDawg55 said:

I think Newton might be really good, but he hasn't shown that much yet. It seems most here disagree with me on that though.haie said:

Cardwell is better than Newton IMO. Better burst. I think Cardwell is a very good back.

Runs straight up? Dude was laying the boom as the ballcarrier. He was the only player that showed any fight and heart in the awful Stanford game. Then he got hurt. He did have some underwhelming games and needs to break some longer runs. At times he seeks out contact too much.haie said:

I could see him not being much better than he’s shown. I don’t think that will happen and I think he will continue to improve, but we’ll see. Worst case scenario, he’s absolutely money in short yardage situations. He hits the hole hard and pushes the pile forward which leads to him being able to get the crucial yard or two when we really need it. -
Didn't he get rolled up on in a pile? It's not like he blew out his shoulder ramming it into dudes faces. What happened to him could have happened to anyone. I think he is a good back. Maybe more of a complimentary piece much like Lavon Coleman. Not a diverse enough portfolio to run the show but against certain teams his style will be needed for the running game to work.
