Remember when it was cool to ask Ukraine to investigate a political opponent?

Robert Menendez (D-N.J.), Richard J. Durbin (D-Ill.) and Patrick J. Leahy (D-Vt.) wrote a letter to Ukraine’s prosecutor general, Yuriy Lutsenko, expressing concern at the closing of four investigations they said were critical to the Mueller probe. In the letter, they implied that their support for U.S. assistance to Ukraine was at stake. Describing themselves as “strong advocates for a robust and close relationship with Ukraine,” the Democratic senators declared, “We have supported [the] capacity-building process and are disappointed that some in Kyiv appear to have cast aside these [democratic] principles to avoid the ire of President Trump,” before demanding Lutsenko “reverse course and halt any efforts to impede cooperation with this important investigation.”

So, it’s okay for Democratic senators to encourage Ukraine to investigate Trump, but it’s not okay for the president to allegedly encourage Ukraine to investigate Hunter Biden?

    https://thehill.com/opinion/campaign/435029-as-russia-collusion-fades-ukrainian-plot-to-help-clinton-emerges

After nearly three years and millions of tax dollars, the Trump-Russia collusion probe is about to be resolved. Emerging in its place is newly unearthed evidence suggesting another foreign effort to influence the 2016 election — this time, in favor of the Democrats.

Ukraine’s top prosecutor divulged in an interview aired Wednesday on Hill.TV that he has opened an investigation into whether his country’s law enforcement apparatus intentionally leaked financial records during the 2016 U.S. presidential campaign about then-Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort in an effort to sway the election in favor of Hillary Clinton.

The leak of the so-called black ledger files to U.S. media prompted Manafort’s resignation from the Trump campaign and gave rise to one of the key allegations in the Russia collusion probe that has dogged Trump for the last two and a half years.

Ukraine Prosecutor General Yurii Lutsenko’s probe was prompted by a Ukrainian parliamentarian's release of a tape recording purporting to quote a top law enforcement official as saying his agency leaked the Manafort financial records to help Clinton's campaign.

So you best defense for Trump is but but but Democrats. That's when you are admitting he threatened Ukraine. The rest of you time is nothing to see here.

You're doing really well today pushing the Trumptard talking points but you need to stick more to Biden and less to Hillary. Throw in some more nothingburgers as well. Pretty good job but you can do better #BeBest.

I've not read any Trump talking points unless you're referring to the transcript they released.

Don't worry Scotty, I hear the complaint is going to be the real bombshell.

I deal in facts wherever they lead. Both Hillary and Biden are dirty in this.

Wake me up when you muellertards ever find something on Trump

    Maybe check Pelosi's shop

Pretty sure the Trump investigation is dormant

So why should Trump be impeached for asking the Ukrainian President to help investigate a political opponent with no clear quid pro quo but it's okay for Rat Senators to ask Ukraine to investigate Trump with a fairly obvious quid pro quo?

That's the question, and of course no liberal here will touch it.
