I feel bad for Helton, sort of. (really) I'm guilty for perpetuating the "he needs more time" schtick. But he does. Sure, he inherited a talented roster along with Sark's shit culture.
Trojan fans forget Haden's poor decisions damaged the program. What did they expect when Haden hired Kiffin then replaced him with a Sark?
Helton won 10 games and the Rosebowl his first full year and 11 games the next. Last year was a disaster without Darnold and Adoree. Sears sucked and JT Daniels should have been in HS That's on Helton. I remember Pete signing off on Daniel Bridge Gadd, Tony whatever his name was, and Jake Haener.
Helton beat our Semi-Final squad in Husky Stadium. He's 3-1 so far this year relying on his 2nd and 3rd string QBs.
Helton deserves more time, say four years?

Lol if the Trojans finish strong and fire Helton, replacing him with Urban who decides hes over the 20 hour days, TBS , and becomes Chip Kelly. The Trojans return to mediocrity. Urban quits and it comes out later he violated NCAA regulations. The NCAA drops the hammer. SC gets hit with recruiting sanctions again. Shocking. It could happen.
The only drawback with Urban is sustained success because it’s all about winning and that gets stressful. That’s the only difference between Saban and Urban. I think peak Urban might be a better coach.
