Trump says a lot of bullshit. California’s epa exemption goes back 50 years and is authorized in law. Meanwhile, California’s agreement with automakers to adhere to Sacramento standards, not trump’s, remains firmly in place. Just like all trump idiocy, this will be litigated for years, and will be immediately revoked if he loses next year. California has been kicking trump’s ass for 2.5 years now. He should be getting used to it by now.

Yes, because keeping the emission standards that apply right now is "destroying" the environment.

Btw, using your Kunt standard why aren't you posting about how Obama was "destroying" the environment?

You have a legislative link for the exemption? Trump runs the EPA. He can change an EPA rule. Under the commerce clause he can institute an EPA standard requirement across all 50 states for auto manufacturers. Seems like Trump has been kicking ass on rogue federal district court immigration rulings. You are the guys who wanted an all powerful federal government. You should love this.

First of all, this is Trump talking and nothing is going to come of it.

Secondly, California has tighter restrictions for a reason and I won't live there for that reason. Although I haven't gotten a ticket with my deleted diesel yet.

And lastly, what happened to states rights? They can't be more stringent than feds now?

Da fuq are you defending this for?

Google the clean air act of 1970. Under this federal law, the epa has provided California an exemption from federal standards. If trump wants to litigate it, he certainly can. (Just like sanctuary state laws lol). Meanwhile every ford, bmw, Honda and Volkswagen manufactured for sale in California will ignore trump. What a humiliation for trump.

Cal has a limited exemption subject to EPA review. Bush limited Cal's ability to regulate. Barry's EPA reversed that decision. It's up to the EPA to decide. Win in 2020 and you leftards can go back to phu*cking the little guy.

So much stupid in your post. You see Bob, if there are less stringent requirements, there will be more pollution in the air.

That being said, I have a question Bob. Trump says cars will be cheaper and therefore the consumer will pay less. Do you think the car manufacturers will sell cars for less? Explain your answer.

California is already doing a great job of polluting California.

Is typhus pollution? Need a ruling from the judges.

They will be no less stringent then they are now. So there will be no more pollution than there is now. So when you say that Race prefers to "go back to a haze over downtown LA" You're either lying or you're a fucking moron.

How are we going back when the standard isn't changing from what it is today? In fact, the standard that Trump wants is the standard that is set to exist in 2020.

There won’t be two standards. There will be the California standard for the entire US market. That’s why trump is melting down. He’s powerless to stop it. California’s agreement with the automakers enshrines Sacramento standards for the entire US. BMW isn’t making a California version of the X5 and a trumptrash version at the same time.

Great argument. Reminds me of your pathetic face plant on California’s sanctuary state laws, that are still the law of the land. You should familiarize yourself with California’s agreement with automakers. It will help you from embarrassing yourself further. Unlike the last time you employed your legal analysis to something about which you are clueless.
