Have any of these sitcom reboots worked out? Roseanne? Nope. Full House? Nope.
I never watched it, but the Roseanne reboot did work until she had a twitter meltdown. Then when she was booted, the ratings tanked.
Somehow I doubt that show was going to last either way.
HBO should reboot Rome. It’s not like they’re out of source material or anything.
I rewatched Rome earlier in the year. It's almost like it couldn't survive under the weight of its own greatness. Shit, I could rewatch again right now.

Before it’s time...
If it came out in the last 5 years it would be GoT levels of popular and we’d have multiple seasons. Alas, it arrived pre-streaming.

Also, good call on teh twatters about Iceman (although I add Ray too, Iceman needs Ray) as an all-tim HBO character. Generation Kill is severely underrated. I'll just pickup an episode to watch when there's nothing else on.

Agree they’re a package deal. The whole Hummer (Twombly and the reporter) really tell a great story.

Get a couple hundred thousand viewers and you're good
Holding out hope they slant more toward the Cinemax approach than the network approach.

Back in the day you needed 20 million to stay on the air
Now with all the platforms they just content and a fraction of the viewers
