So now, who is our DC... Wilcox?

...and the rest of the coaches... mainly guys from Pete's staff?

Can he recruit quality OL players?

Wilcox is a real possibility - he used to DC for Petersen and has a big contract here that is sounds like USC didn't want to buyout.

Petersen can develop quality OL so recruiting them should be doable. BSU has been flooding guys into the NFL compared to us recently.

Chris Strausser, their OL coach, has coached 3 All-American OL. Pay the man.
    Yes. Lord yes.

Friend who played at Boise said he thinks wilcox probably stays. says him and peterson get along well and he doesn't like the vibe down in LA. He hated Tennessee.

I hope Wilcox stays. It will be interesting to see if some of the assistants that agreed to go with Sark comes back, although I am positive Nansen will not be welcomed back.

Early buzz from doogman insiders is Wilcox not likely to stay. Same with Lupoi. It would be nice if he could retain a couple of them. Some level of continuity would be nice as long as it's nobody from Sark's offensive staff.

I love the idea of Boise's OL coach. Don't know a fucking thing about him other than the obvious...his OLs were light years better than Cozzetto's.

I think we need a full staff speculation thread stat

    who do we want?

first glance, Jonathan Smith will be staying in Boise, Tui beats him rather easily say 33-30?

Their OC can piss off. I'm scared Petersen will hire Pease from Florida. Pease was Petersen's OC in 2011. I want a different DC. I would be happy with Gregory being on staff though. He did a good job at Cal under Tedford. I will take the OL coach too.

For Wilcox I think the biggest risk isn't USC, it's Boise State. He has to be near the top of their list now.

I'd be happy if that were true. Doubt it though. Actually I think the two best coaches already bolted. I would have been happiest with Heyward and Sirmon staying and the rest moving on.

I'm not worried anymore though. I wanted as much of the staff kept around as possible when I thought we were getting a rookie head coach. That didn't happen, so I'm fine with Peterson finding his own staff. Shouldn't be hard especially with the resources he has now. We'll be fine.

yeah, very sad with the heyward news... can Jimmy Lakes fill his spot? BSU has had good secondary play for a while now.

but agreed that CP will have no problem finding good people to fill the staff out.

Do you think Sirmon is USC DC?

ESPN SI (per Football Scoop) says Boise will look at Arkansas State's coach.

Let the Doogs worry about PaoPao, et. al. As someone on hear as said repeatedly, if you hire the right HC, the assistants don't matter.
