    I love that two of the biggest socialists on the bored are now shilling for the benefits of Monopolies...comical. There are all sorts of reasons why having a single entity dominate a sector of the economy is bad (i.e. its much more than "price gouging" bad).

    For the non-HondoFS of the world a more detailed article on the damage of having these supersized tech giants have on the overall economy. Don't agree with everything he pushes here, but do agree with a good chunk and think there is a lot to think about:

    I didn't realize Amazon had hit 50%. That should be a concern for any American, especially in a market that is growing as rapidly as e-commerce and as the market grows Amazon's share is only increasing.

    Kind of. I mean it's our choice to buy from them among many other retailers. It's not a situation like the phone companies and utilities where there was only one provider and you have to deal with it. I'm more worried about cell phone companies right now where there's really only 3 big players with widespread service so they can charge an arm and a leg.
