Going to be poasting some schadenfreude in this thread because I'm a dick.
Appetizer to start.
Here's an immediate hot take: This staff are very very good recruiters. And the rest is mostly a sales pitch.
For all the talk about our conditioning, we were completely gassed the 2nd half. All that extra weight didn't help much when we were sucking wind.
For all the talk about a "physical brand of football", we're running for 3 yards a carry, and can't pick up a yard when the game hinges on it. They ran the ball down our throats for the whole 2nd half.
For all the talk about the "explosive offense", we took our 1st round QB and turned him into "Captain Checkdown"...at about 5 yards a completion in the 2nd half. (that's a terrible number per attempt... let alone per completion).
Mario has picked his staff, and now he gets to live with them.
(that's leaving the 2nd half TO usage off the table... or the fact that they've called leads like they've already won again and again and again. This staff blows leads like Willie Taggart changes teams).
"Who loves Arroyo now? Amirite? amirite? Totally blown away. Clever play calling, mixing it up... passes on first down. Let's go Ducks baaaaaby!" Same guy 3 hours later.... "Ok I take it back. 3rd and 7 up the gut? What. Are. You. Thinking."
"Why was the defense sucking wind at the end of the game and Auburn wasn’t? What happened to Mr. Moustache’s famous workout program?"
"Auburn was extremely limited offensively. They pounded the ball and we couldn't stop it. Everyone in the stadium knew what they were going to do. Arroyo would have gottten crucified calling those running plays. The D wore themselves out."
"Yup. Stanford all over again. When will Arroyo get some balls. Ducks need to learn to close the game out. Herbert, unfortunately, is not very clutch. But to be honest you can't blame him. At this point it's not really his fault he has no receivers who are clutch either. JJ3 was solid, but nobody to be that go-to game winner clutch WR."
"Herbert will be a 1st round pick but he’s no Mariota , no Dixon , no Harrington , and I’ll say no even Clemons . Got beat by a kid in high school last year."
"Maybe I have high standards but I just don’t think Herbert is anything special. I wish him the best in the NFL but as far as Oregon is concerned I strongly doubt he will win one big game. Washington last season aside."
"Herbert is way overhyped, there I said it!"
"I'll just say this. If all I knew of Herbert was from just watching him play football, I never would guess he was a 4.0 student."
"He’ll be a solid NFL QB but I have always said that he doesn’t have the “it” factor. Plug in Marcus during one of those final drives. Who wins then? Dude can’t finish in crunch time. Was his chance for a Heisman moment and he crumbled, AGAIN. To be fair, arroyo ran us into the damn ground again with his play-not-to-lose playcalling."
"There are starting to be some bad trends that are making me nervous. The coaching staff continually seems to be unaware of issues during the game. For example the substitution of Herbert that resulted in two timeouts being burnt. I mean you and your staff are paid millions you shouldn’t know the rule book you should be able to write it if necessary. Secondly the timeout with the punt. Why call a timeout to safe five yards on a punt from the 50 with the whole second half to go? I mean that was just unimaginably dumb. As was the timeout burned to start the game because you don’t come on the field prepared. Last year the Stanford game time and possession issues. Another one is we seem to frequently have issues getting plays into the game in a timely fashion so we run to the line with like 8 seconds. That’s coaching. I’m getting nervous about boneheaded coaching mistakes."
"We burned a timeout the first play of the game. How is that possible?"

I think that I may in fact be a fucking loser, because I had a good time at the game despite the outcome. Auburn fans were Klassy AF. Jerry World is nuckin futs and shit is actually "cheap". We got 2 12-0 hats, 2 rich cool and 4-0 t-shirts and something else for like $30. Concessions were "cheap" too and god damn that place is amazing for watching a game.

I'm sure Pete's glad he's clinging to P6P's tenuous endorsement.
Obviously not. But I’ll poast most things that mock Cristoballz’ coaching ability.
