When you get to be old, rich and white, checking down is a fairly regular event.AtomicDawg said:
What does being old rich and white have to do with checking down? Asking for a friend.jecornel said:If we see Eason checking down all game that will mean Pete has put the fear in God in him about turning the ball over.
The last guy who should be playing tight is big arm Skinny Eason.
Grip and rip it Pete. Don't be old, Rich and white....let the offense ball out.
Not so much since the throbber got his viagara prescription but checking down is pretty normal.
Axing for a fren. -

First play of the game send Chincredible on a go route and see how far Eason can throw it, 1% chance of completion, 100% chance of everyone freaking out

I dunno man...
A check down when receivers aren't open instead of forcing it into double coverage, running around like a chicken, or taking a sack seems pretty nice.
Dump it off to Ahmed/McGrew/Kamari/Chico/Lowe and let them do work in space. I know you're used to lame ducks floating out there that take 20 seconds and by then the DB or LB is on the guy. But...
Watch the Georgia highlights. Skinny gets it out there fast and the check down man always has it in open space and can get yards. I'll take 3-4 yards with a chance to make a guy miss than whatever the fuck Browning did for 4 years.
Plus, it'll suck up the DB's and then you can take shots over the top. I'm all for letting it rip and using his 60 yard on a rope arm strength. But if the receivers aren't getting open (which happened all the time last year and reports say continued in camps), I'd like to take the easy yards and like the fact that Skinny isn't stubborn. -
You know, the (2nd) most exciting thing watching the scrimmage was seeing skinny deliver bubble screens and quick outs the way their meant to be delivered.DoogCourics said:I dunno man...

The most exciting thing was seeing big chungus Tuli and crew, a leveling up of LOS talent that just jumped off the field. Latu's also just a thing of beauty. -
It's like dog medicine - depends on the size and weight.BennyBeaver said:

I want him checking down often unless there are guys running open down the field. The long balls will come. -
So you want Scott linehan ball... awesome.chuck said:
