Major rumors meaning its not just someone throwing out a name:

UW first offered Petersen. This happened before the Sark interview with USC. Petersen thought about it, then said no. (Source: BSU Scout site administrator.)
UW then offered Mora.
Nuss wants the job, and Woodward likes Nuss. Nuss has been the plan B guy all along. (Source: more than one insider I have talked to)

If all that is true, Nuss is the guy and should be announced today.

But some say Petersen is still in play. And no one is certain that Woodward isn't talking to other prospects.

If this is true, than Woodward should resign. If I was Mora and knew I was second choice, I'd tell Woody to ef off too unless he wants to pay me $7m a year.

My thoughts too. Woodward probably believes he did enough by extending offer to Mora to satisfy himself he has carried out his job responsibilities with due diligence and the fanbase should be convinced he is taking the hiring decision seriously. I think he is relieved Mora said no since he wants Nuss.
