God the South is such a fucking embarrassment. Truly the worst division in college football. Another tuff MWesttingham sqwad comes out of it next year.

Herm is their only hope right now.

    Herm is not hope.
He lost the South in 2018 with a random loss but otherwise beat his direct opponents.

2019 he couldn't pull it off but still handed the conference champs their only loss.

    If not him then who.
He is 10-10 in conference and pinning a ton of hope on freshmen next year. Utah or usc will be representing the south next year. Asu has gotten worse since herm got there if you look closer.
I'm going to lipo with him. Again, softest division in college football and he found a quarterback pretty quickly. He may be relying on freshman but SC doesn't look like they'll do shit next year and have you seen UteMW with freshmen? 2017 season incoming for them.

UCLA was in play for most of the season in that division.

UCLA improved at the end of the season. They could be a sneaky south pick next year.

We're relying on 4 blue chip WRs to fill 1-2 spots and 2 new RBs to fill 1.

Maybe 1 D guy at LB in the rotation. Maybe another RS freshman on the DL.
The least amount in some time.

This year we had 2 freshmen on the OL and a freshmen qb. With a bad OC.
I thought it'd be iffy we make a bowl once 2 OL went down before the season.

I'd argue were relatively veteran next year.
No seniors but lots of JRs and sophs.

They just keep adding tires to the fire

Should be great for morale. A hired gun by the AD that has to work with the coaches already in place. Good luck with that SC.

Only thing that ASU really has going for them is Daniels. He looked really good for a true freshman. The rest of the program is nothing special at all. Graham’s best teams were quite a bit better than both Herm’s. Graham’s 2017 team might have even been better.

You can make an argument that Herms first two years parallel Petermans. He started and played a lot of freshman in his first two years including a true frosh QB in year two. If he blows up and ASU takes a shitty South with 10-11 wins then he is probably going to have a nice run in the desert. If they win 7-8 again then he is what he is. Year three, as in most cases will be telling. I just wish the national media would stop harping on his big turn around at ASU. He has won 7 and 8 games. Graham got fired for winning 7 and 8 games, not competing for South titles and of course, being illiterate.
