See I thought Biden did well. He touted his record pretty heavily and as the runaway leader right now he played some good defense while the target was on his back.

He can tout his record all he wants, it’s a bad record.

So far voters disagree. The liberal wing of the party is still loud and shrill, but the silent white moderates are still voting.

He’s leading the polls because he stood next to Obama and people thinks he’s electable, it has nothing to do with his record. Once he’s not the front runner in the polls he’s done.

I agree, I actually don't think he'd do well from behind and nobody can sustain a primary lead for 15 months. But Biden's popularity is showing that a majority of democrats still want someone more moderate than what's being trotted out onstage. Someone else will have to fill that void before Joe fades away.

They need someone like Hickenlooper to wake up. Smart, normal and non-threatening in his appearance. Has the governorship experience, etc. But nobody knows who the fuck he is. Midwestern centrists would vote for him. And liberals are going to vote for any democrat who gets the ticket.

I liked him because he had the balls to say the one fucking thing his party has to say - out loud - and he said it twice - "the answer is not a government jerb for everybody ... the answer is not to be found in socialism."

I'm shocked this hasn't gotten more play in the Tug. He's the one motherfucker in the group who has the political acumen and the guts to basically say out loud that they're not going to win if they don't get off their soap box about fringe social issues and reject any notion of AOC Socialism.

If I were committed to voting Democrat, and I'm not, but if I were, that's the guy I'd pick. Harris is a lightweight, and Booker is a moron, Pete is ... I don't know, fuck off South Bend. Biden is too old and still in love with his Vice Presidency and doesn't have enough gas in the tank to beat Trump. Bennett's retardation is exceeded only by Inslee's. The rest can go DIAFF.
