They've since cut state legislators in on the action to go along with the ruse. The whole thing is a giant sham. Those videos you see of giant glaciers calving into the ocean? Is it any coincidence we only started seeing those at about the same time Hollywood started obtaining the capability to create that caliber of CGI? Didn't fucking think so.
