you should see the writing samples of some people I work with who went to top schools like Harvard, Furd, etc. the entire human race is a fraudRoadDawg55 said:
You would be surprised. I played high school basketball with a fringe D-1 kid that probably read at about a second grade level. He once wrote a paper on my family’s computer that my whole family was astounded how little of a grasp he had of writing. It was like a first grader wrote it.1to392831weretaken said:
I have seen interviews with players who I'd bet good money couldn't spell more than a handful of three letter words. I'm actually shocked that academic issues of any kind are a barrier to a D1 scholarship at the pointy end.animate said:
as mentioned previously, and if you truly didn't know, grades didn't pan out ... sounds like he is a 4* for football but he needs serious work in the classroom to be able to play D1.1to392831weretaken said:How does a gigantic dude with offers from Oregon, Tennessee, and both Arizona schools wind up at a community college in Utah? There's gotta be a story here.
There is only so much you can do for some people. They still have to take the tests. You can’t write a perfect paper for them because then it’s obvious they didn’t write it. -

@Ballz is high on this kid but he's probably a plan B in case we whiff on Voi Tunuufi and Kuao Peihopa

He's good, I'm just curious how big he actually is. Listed at 6'2 300, I'm skepticalinsinceredawg said:@Ballz is high on this kid but he's probably a plan B in case we whiff on Voi Tunuufi and Kuao Peihopa

Huffman said his height might hurt his chances of landing more offers. He's probably closer to 5'11-6'0.Neighbor2972 said:

I like Schuster too. Just seems like an in state kid we wouldn’t want to go away and ball out for another PAC 12 school.
There is a Buck/Sam prospect from Archbishop Murphy named Josh McCarron hat has been awfully productive too. Maybe we are in on better guys, but he also seems like a guy I would hate to see go away. -

Another guy that came up in Wiltfong's write-up, Tristan Dunn, 2022 LB from Sumner
