It IS his home state school AND they offered him as a RB. I figured he might go there until they signed a 4 star 2020 RB. Good for him. He’s not afraid of competition. If his dream is playing running back more power to him.
I moved my Crystal Ball off Oregon and placed it on Miss State. The Ducks were the only school recruiting him at DB, and they msde a huge impression on him kn his visit. To the point he td me he was now cool with playing DB at Oregon. But then he got onto campus at Miss State this week for an unofficial visit, and the Bulldog staff hit him hard with the chance to play running back and the chance for early playing time.
If that Miss State visit never happened, he goes to Oregon as a lock, IMO. This is sadly the downside of recruiting nationally and not getting the last visit before a decision.
We got our main target at RB and have 3 Sophomores that are good running backs. I think we are fine. We are going to lose an ATH that projects to RB, Isaiah Newell, to the Beavs because we are full. Newell wants to be a Duck but can we find room. I don’t think so.
