Its not just the playoffs, its the Finals

For the first time in 8 years no Lebron

For the first time in 4 years no Cleveland

Kawhi back for his third trip - 1 and 1 so far

The Warriors Big Three back for their 5th straight - the most in 50 years since the Celtics

Is four out of five greater than 6-0 over 8 years?

Is this the last ride for the Warriors or are more in play?

Can they FINISH for a three peat which hasn't happened since His Airness did it twice

Can Steph challenge MJ with a great series and a win?

Will Boogie make it back in time to help out?

Will KD ever win a ring? (not this year)

Raptors in 7

Kawhi is a bad bad man.

But Dubs will win in 6, more likely 5 - Kawhi is a bad bad bad bad man so they may sneak out another win.

    And fuck Drake.

    1) Different eras and hard to compare ... I think the standard for the Warriors is Jordan’s 6 in 8 years

    2) The Warriors will still be a title contender going forward as long as they have Steph + Klay + Dray for the next 2-3 years ... how they add around will be critical as a bunch of $$$ is about to come off the books

    3) Assuming a 3 peat here, what the Warriors have done the last 5 years is the best 5 year stretch in modern hoop (post expansion era) history

    4) A win here and I think you really have to start being realistic at Steph moving into the Top 15-20 of all time ... a few more titles and I can see a really favorable argument for Steph over Magic ... MJ is a completely different level

    5) If Boogie is able to get up to speed and give a good 15-20 minutes a game primarily in the 2nd unit that will be huge for the Warriors

    6) If KD goes to the Knicks as is 81+% likely then no

This was the JR Smith game. So is it 5 games or do we have a series

Probably have a series, but LIPO.

A wise man once told me the series doesn't begin until the road team wins a game.

Sounded like everything went right for the Dinos and wrong for the Warriors

There’s only cause for concern for the Warriors if they don’t get the split

I do not agree with this assessment at all. I thought Toronto was just better.

It’s game one, long way to go. The series hasn’t even officially started yet. But I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s about as good as Golden States offense gets and I wouldn’t be surprised if they just aren’t a great defense with Igoudala gimpy and Durant out.

Toronto absolutely mauled the Warriors with a very physical game and double teamed Curry. I expect the Ws to adjust to both and find lots of chances to get Klay wide open 3 point shots.

But if Klay isn't hot then this could be a very tough match up for GS.

Yeah the Toronto D is legit. 6 games in a row now. Once upon a time the Cavs shut GS down in a similar fashion

The Warriors shot under 44% ... credit Toronto’s D but the Warriors will not only shoot better as the series progresses but will start finding some easier shots.

Toronto shooting over 50% with all the role players going off is what Toronto needs yet that game was winnable for the Warriors in the 4th.

Simply put the Warriors just need to clean up in transition, play some better D, and eliminate the lucky shots that Toronto got.

Klay needs to be a little better offensively, but he wasn’t terrible numbers wise. The Warriors efficiency (109 points on 78 FG attempts isn’t terrible).

KD is getting a ring if the Warriors lose according to the morning after over reaction.

Best case now is the Warriors go up 3-1 then bring KD back to close it out and lose three straight

Boogie will be a factor now that he has his game legs and Kerr will shorten the bench and Klay will come out of nowhere like he does once a year to save the day

Golden State has big problems. They did a great job of holding Kawhi down but were quickly introduced to Pascal Siakam. But maybe the bigger problem is Marc Gasol. He hitting those 3's is nothing new in these playoffs as He came in shooting 40%. If Siakam and Gasol are gonna contribute numbers close to that.... Game over. Another problem is the lack of clean looks from beyond the line. Siakam looks like a clone of Kawhii defensively. Curry had a good game but Thompson was shit when the game was tight and can't dribble past Danny Green nor Siakam. He's not a choker but He's not clutch either.

Maybe the best thing to happen to the Dubs last night was Iggy tweaking his calf again. It will force the Dubs to go with a whole new gameplan. Essentially ensuring that a non scorer is not on the court for 35 minutes per game. In today's NBA Final where you have to score in the 'teens , you can't afford that.

A Durantless GS was just fine against a team like Portland that basically tries to out shoot you and defense be damned. But against a defense like Toronto, they need Durant. Look for a "shock the world" appearance in Game 2 on Sunday by him.

One who didn't see the game might think this. But it would be an inaccurate assessment.

Has anything been said about draymonds hamstring? He clearly pulled it late in the game.

Also, fuck drake for talking shit to him after the game, easy to do that on the court faggot, try it at the bar afterwards without security around

All I heard before the game was that the Warriors are better without KD because hey are 30-1 blah blah blah. They lose one game and now they are in trouble if KD can’t come back. I hate sports “analysists”.

I think pretty much everyone saying they’re better without KD was just doing it to shit on KD.

Well done by New balance. Confirmed I'm grabbing his shoes when they finally release.

Fuck I don't know what to think this series. So many story lines I want to see come to fruition but they are all at the cost of each other.

    Warriors dynasty without KD
    KD legacy dead
    Steph Legacy
Kawaii Legacy, King of the North

So many ways this can go and how it affects the coming free agency.

It’s so stupid. There is no such thing as a team better off without Kevin Durant. He’s been a top 5 player almost his whole career.

Warriors take control in an hour and a half.
