Oregon was always going to take two QBs. Butterfield knew that. However, after SNL and seeing Butterfield live, it’s Stroud or no one else.
Wait, what?
He's either saying Felterbutt was so good that only Stroud is worth taking in addition to him, or Felterbutt was so bad that they need Stroud more than ever. Hope that clears it up, TYFMS.
he' saying that based on guys showing up for a manufactured recruiting practice one guy looked so good that he is clearly their number one target and the other guy was so bad in aforementioned manufactured promotional activity designed for fun and more than football that the other guy was so dominant that he's now the guy. You can't make up a better recruiting strategy than one that puts all evaluations into single events like this one. LOL
No, its the other one.
He was saying Felterbutt looked so good that if they don't get Stroud they don't need a second QB (even though their depth is awful.)

It's moor depth issues. This year, there are three QBs on scholarship, but there's a clear order in that Sherbert>Everyone else. Next year, you have an open competition between Shough, Millen and whomever the true freshmen are. If Shough loses the starter jorb, he's not sticking around. If Millen gets past by a true freshman for the backup gig, he might not either. So yore risk is two scholarship QBs on the roster-- with the last time that happened resulting in Braxton Burmeister trying to get his reads down with Terry Wilson whom Willie chased out of town lifting an NY6 trophy for Kerntucky.
