NEW YORK -- Federal prosecutors on Wednesday played a recording to the jury of a phone call intercepted by wiretaps, in which former Arizona assistant Emanuel "Book" Richardson told aspiring agent Christian Dawkins that Wildcats coach Sean Miller was paying star center Deandre Ayton $10,000 per month while he was enrolled there.

How do Miller and Wade still have jobs? Wade practically got an apology from LSU. Miller and Wade, if anyone cares, should be fired for sheer cheating incompetence. How do these clowns not have like ten layers of space between them and the money? They were caught on wire tap talking about players and money. How do they still have plausible deniability? Jeez. Hopkins learned from the great cheating aficionado Jim Boehiem. He won't get caught for anything major.

Arizona has like 4 lawsuits in the AD and fired rich rod. They are too broke to fire and replace Miller.

And the AD is a joke and doesn't have the power to fire miller, the boosters want Miller to stay.

Seems that payments to secure a player would constitute cause and let Ua off the hook in terms of cashing him out. Miller probably has a cheating clause in his contract that the admin signed off on. "Why would he need to cheat? We are Arizona! Sign the contract."

Sean Miller should be fired without the cheating. The team's on court performance speaks for itself.

Let's not forget of all the places the savior could have landed after being removed from UW Romar ran to hang out with another "clean" coach. What a joke

Onto the topic at hand, UofA shouldn't fire miller. This is another step in the progression of status quo. People all over media, politics, sports are now being caught doing crazy shit and they stand up and deny deny deny and somehow that works, EVEN WITH AUDIO or VIDEO to back up claims. It's not some rant on politics b/c this is happening all over sports and other areas of society, but apparently rule #1, just keep denying you had anything to do with it and wait it out. Sean is staying out of the picture and just laying low. He's probably on an island drinking mai tai's and will be back in July or so when people are getting jazzed for football, he'll make some lame statement and get 2 game suspension vs troy state and maybe $100k fine.

Carry on, nothing to see here.

The weirdest part is that the fanbase is willing to risk the program for a guy who hasn't done squat

Romar is a good guy. He’s also a lazy and bad coach. Very few, if any coaches are completely clean.

My issue was more the Doogs who put him on a thrown, not the guy himself.

Yeah but have you seen that 2019 recruiting class????

It really is funny seeing a subpar athletic department cling so desperately to the only marginally good thing they have.

The amount of denial by most Tucson media and dolt sports fans is almost incredible, but considering how beloved the Mildcats are and how much sports like AAA beisbol are shunned, it's not.

You could show them video and audio of Miller authorizing payment, and they'd just say it's forged.
