It wasn't just Steve the virulent Klan racist who thankfully got his skull kicked in it was everyone even the "good guys" with their causal racism that was part of the times

Folks were pretty rayciss back then. I would hope that HBO accurately portraying the sentiments of the time wouldn't get them accused of being rayciss of insensitive.
